Match report Lost toss - and fielded - but that was what I was going to do anyway! Honest! :-)
A solid fielding performance with John McGowan setting the tone early on with a fine diving stop and then a running catch from mid-off, was more than backed up by some accurate bowling. A welcome return from Connor saw him bag 2 for 13, a tidy spell from Cibi as he took 2 and the evergreen Andy Davies mopping up with 3 for 20. And not forgetting Angad reminding their skipper of the old adage - never run on a mis-field. The throw from the boundary had him yards short. Job half done.
We batted steadily for 10 overs before tea until Paul opened up after the break, finishing unbeaten on 40 to see us through to a comfortable 20 pts. A very satisfactory day. For 2018, we have lift off - at last!
