Match report Wow, finally the season has started and we kicked it off with a win on the final ball of the 20th over. How exciting!

Yateley won the toss and decide to bowl first, we kept the pressure on Rowledge all the time with some good line and length bowling. This meant wickets fell at regular intervals with Yateley taking 9 wickets in total and restricting Rowledge to 82.

In the field we did well closing the runs down quickly although we need to make sure we keep our eyes on the ball and it is in the hand before throwing in.

Taking our turn to bat, we did well with the first five bats retiring after their four over’s with the score ticking along nicely, then the loss of three quick wickets meant the score stood still for a while. With two over’s left and still twenty runs required we had a great deal to do. With some excellent running between wickets and two fours we managed it on the last ball of the match.

What a great start with a great team effort in difficult conditions.
