Match report On a Thatcham pitch slightly greener than usual but still offering opportunities with the bat Yateley were put into bat by Thatcham. we lost Christain & Goshi within 2 overs. Mark then set himself to anchor the innings through and after a couple of good cameo's from Francois & Kashif we had recovered to 90 for 4. Unfortunately despite some good efforts we never really looked like we were going to achieve our target of 200+, falling short at 143 off 44.5 overs.
At the interval Plan A was ripped-up, and Plan B was put into play and with some good tight bowling and excellent fielding (exemplified by Ruan at short mid-wicket)we felt we were in with a chance. With a little more luck we could have easily won this game despite being 50/60 runs short of were we should have been. For the 4th game running we were complemented on our bowling\fielding by the opposition, which is always nice to hear but now's the time to translate the performance into results and we need to start by toughing it out in the batting.
