Match report What a great team performance from the 11 boys who played in the first dry match of the season.

It was great to see 6 of our bowlers take wickets, Andre took 2 for 11 runs off 2 overs, William B 1 for just 2 off 2 and Oliver L 1 for just 5 runs off 2 and Alex L with 1 for just 8 off 2. All 10 boys bowled 2 overs each and it was really good to see everyone contributing.

Matthew did well keeping today, Alexander took a great caught and bowled chance that was struck firmly straight back at him and quick reflexes and good hands meant the ball was held. William also achieved a fantastic run out with a direct hit, really well done William.

Andre also scored 19 runs (not out), so made a great contribution this evening. Patrick fielded very well, saving a couple of boundaries and keeping a cool head under pressure.

All boys contributed, so it was a great team performance winning by 15 runs.

We need to make sure we walk in as a fielding team, positively wanting the ball and we need to tighten up on the extras (84 of Old Basing's 116 came from extras, but this will come through the season if last year is anything to go by.
