We turned up at Eversley hoping for a win as we beat them last year 3 times. Having lost the toss Eversley put us into field first. We had the sun shining straight in our eyes when we were bowling which didn’t help us; however the pick of the bowlers was Kathryn who took 3 wickets and an amazing run out. Natasha also got a wicket and fielded really well stopping the singles. The rest of the team also did a great job in the field and Addie was great behind the wickets. However the down side was that we gave 106 extras away which meant that the score we were chasing was 150.

After a short break it was our turn to bat. We opened with Kathryn and Kayleigh who got us off to a good start and looking for the quick singles. Unfortunately Kathryn was run out which brought our youngest player Natasha to the crease. Tash batted really well even though her pads were rubbing. Sadly Tash got bowled to a straight ball which brought captain AJ to the crease who scored a very quick 16 but soon got out. During Alanna’s innings Kayleigh got retired for the second game running. Jess replaced the retired Kayleigh and Addie replaced AJ. Jess and Addie tried to get the runs but unfortunately couldn’t finish it off.

Well done to all the girls who played you did really well especially with the sun and heat as well.
