Match report Cove's declaration at 50 overs on 229-5 appeared to be generous and a target well within the ability of the Yateley batsmen. Most of the Yateley bowlers struggled with their line on a batting friendly pitch and against the leg side hits of Carter who was eventually out on 96. Gerhard Pienaar was the pick of the bowlers with 4-53 from a very tidy 13 overs.

Yateley started their innings brightly with both Saj Shafi and Jonny Dow appearing comfortable against the opening spin attack. 80-2 quickly became 88-6 with the middle order being blown away in a 2 over spell. James Muir being unfortunately given out caught off of his pad. This bought together Manu Rawat (24) and Andy Peace (60) who patiently got Yateley back in with a chance of winning with stand of 92. This meant Yateley required 60 from the last ten overs. Unfortunately both batsmen were out in consecutive overs leaving Gerhard Pienaar and Anthony Muir to bat out the last six overs finishing on 186-8.
