Match report 52 is a pretty small total to defend. A poor batting performance from the Yorkers meant we should have been on the back foot when going in to field, especially after demolishing the luscious tea provided by Rachel McGowan. Refusing to be demoralised and on a poor batting track, the Yorkers took the game to Wokingham and put them under pressure from the outset with fantastic fielding and an exuberant team spirit usually reserved for our Pink Lady clashes. 4 wickets for the loss of only 9 runs gave us the impetus for a final push and with the opposition only needing 1 run, our top 4 bowlers on superb form and refusing to yield to the pressure, AJ bowled and their skipper skied it............straight into Alice's hands.

Which just goes to prove that cricket really is more important than revising!!!

Huge thanks to all those that stepped into the breach and played at the last minute despite exams. And John McGowan for umpiring when our umpire was stolen!
