But first details of 2 finals being played this week:

Friday 23rd August

Many thanks to Michele Bartlett and Di Muir for produced delicious teas for the 1s.

1st XI remain 6 points off promotion after bowling out Chiswick & Latymer for 108 in 36 overs and then reaching the target in 31 overs with Tom Wood taking 6 wickets. (Andrew Nibblett 42, Tom Wood 11-6-29-6).   Click here for the scorecard.

2nd XI beat Finchampstead by 2 wickets and pick up 20 points.  (Chris James 69no)

3rd XI were unluck to have their game against Falkland Development abandoned after tea due to rain after notching up 216 runs in just 26 overs and then declaring. (Paul Nichols 120no, Adam Doorbar 64no).   Click

3rd XI Match Report
Won Toss for 3rd game running!! (What's going on !?)

With the threat of rain on the horizon, Yateley decided to bat. With P Nichols dispatching the 1st ball away for 4 it seemed the decision seemed to be justified. The 50 was brought up in the 9th over, and by the time J Garrett (12) was out in the 20th over the score had reached 128. Adam Doorbar strode in with the instruction to push on and rotate the strike to get the in-form P Nichols on strike, erm.. 6 overs 88 runs later (64 scored by Adam) I think we can say Job successfully done. Yateley declared @ 216-1 in the 26th over. A demoralised opposition declared it was time for tea, unfortunately when we returned from tea the rain had set in and the game was called off.

A great performance by Paul, John & Adam. M.o.M Paul Nichols
