Yateley Girls 2019

Our Girls and coaches

Our vibrant and energetic Girls section provides a variety of cricket in different formats for girls aged from 6 to 16. Our aims are for all girls to develop their skills in a safe, exciting and positive environment where everyone enjoys their cricket and reaches their full potential as part of a team. Several of our girls have represented their District and County over the years. All our coaches are DBS checked while our lead coaches all hold ECB Level 2 qualifications.

What cricket do we offer?

Girls Summer League Cricket 2019

This summer 2019 we entered six teams into the North Hampshire Youth cricket League: two softball teams at U9, one softball team at U11, one hardball team at U11 plus teams at both U13 and U16. We are delighted that all our teams had very successful seasons with girls achieving great personal as well as team successes.
0ur older girls also regularly played as part of our Women's team in the Hampshire League where we compete in Division Two.
All our teams play with a fantastic team spirit and we always welcome new recruits to our friendly and welcoming section; just get in touch with Rachel McGowan whose details are at the bottom of the page.

Autumn and Winter 2019/20
Indoor Leagues

Summer may be over but the cricket isn't! Cricket continues into the Autumn with Indoor Friday night YCC-only friendly games for our hardball girls from U11 and older at the Eversley Indoor Cricket Centre.

U11s, U13s and U16s will also be playing in the Dummer Hampshire Girls Indoor League on Saturday afternoons plus U13s and older will also be playing as part of our Women's Indoor League team at Dummer on Sundays.
So if you are keen to play all year round we have plenty of cricket for you!

Friendlies and tournaments 2019

On Sunday May 12th 2019 we held our second Yateley Girls Softball Festival attended by 5 teams of our own U9 and U11 girls. Our older girls umpired and helped to score the Festival on the day meaning that all the girls were involved either as players or volunteers.

This summer the Girls took part for the first time in the August U9 Finchampstead Tournament playing in a mixed Division. With wins against girls' and boys' teams they came away wanting to play again next year!

Older girls help with the younger teams as helpers and positive role models, supporting U9s training each week. We always appreciate all the support of our parents too to help us maintain our friendly, lively section. Everyone is a vital and valued part of the Yateley Girls team.
