U16 Girls win North Hampshire U16 Girls 15/15 Cup
Having already lost to Aldershot twice in the league this season we knew that they were a strong side. We lost the toss and were put into bat first. We opened the batting with AJ and Kayleigh who got off to a good start. AJ was first to get out to a good delivery. The next batsmen in was Jess who did well before getting out. Next in was Addie who got dropped twice before she got a new batting partner because Kayleigh was run out. Heather, Alice and Emma R all batted well and all got runs. After our 15 over’s our final score was 90-5.
After a very quick break we went out to field. We opened the bowling with Cassie who took 2 wickets in the first over and got more later in the game. Alice, Jess and Kayleigh all bowled well and all got at least one wicket each. The fielding by Yateley was quick and sharp which helped us to get a couple of run out’s. Overall this was a great performance by the Yateley girls in the field who gave a lot of support and encouragement to each other. Aldershot fell short of the target Yateley had set them meaning that YATELEY U16 GIRLS WON THE 15/15 CUP for the second year running.
Well done to all the who played it was a good team effort.
