Match report A six a side shorter match on a pleasant evening at Sean Deveraux Park saw the U13 win their second match and remain unbeaten.
Skipper Lottie lost the Toss and Yateley were put into bat. a solid start from Millie and Philippa took us to 214 after 4. The came the acceleration with Gaby and some big hitting from Lottie including a lovely six, to take the score to 244 after 8 overs. In came Hannah and Amelie who kept up the pace and took 31 off the last 4 overs to finish on 275.
This was a decent target for a young Cove team and Amelie and Gaby kept things very tight only conceding 11 runs from the first 4 overs. With Cove looking for runs there were chances and Amelie took a wicket and nearly made it two in two balls but unfortunately couldn't hold onto a Caught and Bowled chance. So after 8 overs Cove were on 225 and Yateley had the game almost won. Cove rallied to end on 252, falling 23 runs short.
The cove team awarded Amelie the best bowler, Lottie the best batter and Hannah the best fielder.
