Yateley U15 Entertain Portslade CC on Tour
On Monday August 18th Yateley U15, took on a touring Portslade CC U15 side, who had come from the Brighton area. Both teams also had a number of younger players.
As far as I am aware this was the first meeting between our two clubs and l really hope more to follow.
The game itself was a lot of fun and everyone got a bowl and bat.
Yateley amassed 275 with a number of retirements. Rhodes Franklin and Jason Soames led the way with the runs, both retiring.
A lovely and leisurely tea followed.
Portslade then batted and struggled early on, but some resistance in the middle order and again at the end saw Portslade to a very respectable 230 all out.
It was great to see the 2 teams playing with smiles on their faces and Rhodes and Liam Doran bowling Pace!! And Jason and Nathaniel Brittany bowling very promising Off Spin!!
James Bingham and William Banham kept Wicket expertly, Shane Cresswell (I think you got more than 14!!) hit some wonderful 4’s and Adam Hendries blinding them with his bowling.
Our opening attack of Callum Doran and Darren Cresswell won the game, great bowling guys.
