U17 Cup Semi Final Match Report
  • Oliver Soames game turning catch at long on palming the ball back over the boundary collecting the ball inside the pitch with a dive
  • James Wilson 34, Oliver Soames 23, Sam Kennett 21, Christian King 15
  • 3 wickets for Christian King and a wicket each for Tom Halson, Sam Kennett, Jacob Vincent and Rhodes Franklin

  • 3rd XI Match Report
    On a decent track G Soames (90) & H Squire (14) got Yateley off to a good start. Good contributions throughout the order (J Garrett 10, J Pienaar 58, A Doorbar 8, J Henstock 9, K Franklin 14*, E Mitchell 1*)saw Yateley score 215 for 6 off 43 overs.
After a little collaborative thinking we decided to start the Eversley innings with the old ball, but despite some tidy bowling from E Mitchell, H Franklin/J Pienaar the breakthrough was a little slow in coming. A little nervy running and some excellent work in the field by A Doorbar saw the breakthrough with a calmly worked run-out. With the introduction of the new ball & K Franklin (8-4-18-3), supported by A Davies (9-2-21-2) wickets quickly started to tumble. With Eversley battling to stay in the game @ 80 for 5 H Franklin (15-6-30-4) was introduced back into the attack, with a well executed use of flight variations wickets soon started to tumble. With Eversley teetering on the brink and overs running out K Franklin was re-introduced into the attack and with the last ball of the penultimate over the final wicket fell.
    A good performance all-round. M.o.M G Soames
