Match report On a flat looking pitch Yateley unfortunately lost the toss and the hosts decided to get first use of the facilities. The pitch was as expected and the outfield was rapid, so despite some good bowling from Josh Gore, James Harvey and Anthony McGowan and a great catch from Ollie Reece (James took two as well) Yateley were left facing a daunting target of 271 to win.
A brisk start was made, 16 coming off the first 2 overs, but this was a false dawn as the home bowlers then found their rhythm and runs became harder to find. Wickets then fell at regular intervals, only James Harvey standing resolute amongst the carnage. Josh Gore came and played a breezy cameo 37 before picking out a fielder, James unfortunately played a tired poke to nick off behind when a 100 seemed possible and the innings finished on a not too disgraceful 198 all out.
Not a disgrace against decent opposition, there were a couple of chances to dismiss their batsman who made 100 (and retired) which could have made the target more likely to be achieved.

A good game played in good spirits by both sides.
