Yateley Cricket Club Lost 8 runs

Match report Yateley won the toss and inserted Wokingham but failed to get any joy with the ball and it was 75-1 at drinks. Ganesh and Nathan had already slowed the rate down and then started to remove the batsmen, Nathan getting 2 in 2 balls and with Tom and Josh chipping in (helped by the skipper's circus trick off Tom) Wokingham were dismissed for 132 short of their allotted overs.
The reply started badly with Anthony and Aziz holing out early, followed by Zahed. Josh and Elgan then started to build a partnership before Josh perished LBW, then Elgan was bowled and Nathan went to a very sharp catch leaving the rate at almost a run per ball. Despite some late scrambling, the target was never in reach so Yateley fell 8 short unfortunately.
There were a number of positives and lessons learned and there is reason to believe that we can be more successful in future games.
