Match report Damn British weather!
Lost toss, Fleet chose to bat.
We're only 2 games in but I would imagine Fleet will be one of the better teams in Div 9 this year ...........they are top after all :-)
A strong batting line-up saw them maintain a 5 rpo run rate throughout, providing a stern test for us in the field.
Joel was our standout once he found his rhythm up the hill, backed up by Vinay and Naveen with 2 wkts apiece. But after 31 overs, the rain set in and we never returned.
A shame really, as good as Fleet were, we had McGowan (A) and Henstock champing at the bit ready to chase down whatever they could set us.
With a fast outfield, it could have been interesting.
We'll never know!
