Match report A league match on Sunday - Yateley visited Eversley to play Eversley 5th XI on the main ground. It was a used wicket but it looked hard, so when the lucky 1947 penny won its 4th toss in a row Yateley elected to bat.
Asim and Elgan got off to a good start with some positive hitting before Asim was cleaned out but a partnership of 72 off 79 balls was the ideal platform. Joe McGowan started positively but was beaten by Eversley's most dangerous looking bowler Mitchell for 9.
This brought Anayet for his league debut and he was positive from the start and as he got his eye the runs started to flow with Elgan joining in the destruction (and bringing up his second ton of the season) saw the pair put on a 144 in 117 balls before Anayet was bowled for a brilliant 66,
The tempo didn't stop as Anthony hustled and after Elgan holed out for 110 Aziz made a cameo unbeaten 24 leaving Yateley on a massive 289-5.
Owen and Hafizar took the new ball and both bowled with hostility and took 3 wickets, the pick being a well judged running catch when Own induced a top edge. Vid Sharma Bowled Last who was looking for a 50, then Anayat came on after drinks and showed his prowess with the ball taking 3-22.
Anthony then chipped in with a couple of wickets before Emre (the finisher) assisted in the last wicket by gathering a throw at the stumps and calmly running out the last pair.

Thanks to all the players for the great efforts with the bat and then the ball - there was a lot of positivity around - we need to keep this going for the rest of the season.
