Match report Final league game - against the runaway leaders!
Won toss, batted!
Steady start as ever from our regular openers preceded a middle order slump. However a recovery lead by "new boy" Buddhi and young Savir saw us through to a respectable 158.
But NPL2 are not top for no reason, and I think it's safe to say batting is their strong suit. In spite of a very tidy spell from Vinay, who also took the only wicket to fall, NPL coasted to a 9 wicket victory with days to spare!
No shame in that though and the guys never gave up.
Our thoughts at the end though were elsewhere. For Aziz who had to leave the field with a finger injury. We later learned it was a clean break. We wish him a speedy recovery!
