Match report “What a difference a week makes, 168 little hours …..!!” (sorry, one for the older viewers)

Lost the toss, asked to bat (I’d have asked them!)
But how we batted. Contributions large and small all the way down – but crucially, no calypso-collapso!!
Anthony lead from the front, creaming the ball to all parts and in the process having the bruises to show for it, (their 2nd change bowler had a bit of nip and bounce about him). Ably assisted by younger sibling, Joe, firm foundations were set as both passed 50. An excellent start gave the lower order licence to swing, and Jim, Vinay and Aziz cashed in – Jim taking 19 off one over, the same bowler who tried to catch a tracer from Joe and felt it! I suspect he’s had better days.
And with the ball, momentum was maintained. Vinay was ....... well, Vinay ....... and Joe bagged a 5-fer. And the support bowling was equally as encouraging. I’ve no idea how Aziz ended with a 0 in the 4th column, and it was great to see Robin back in the fold. And Anthony ensured the Mcgowan party continued by snaring the last two, the last a smart catch by Olly on his senior debut!

What’s changed? – well, at my request, Chris Petts picked the batting order.
But I didn’t shave this week so I expect it was that!
