Match report It was a strange match this morning as all around the pitch there were inflatables and stalls being set up for the cricket festival and people were keen to finish the game and watch the world cup final.
Rowledge batted first and some good bowling from Yateley restricted them to 257 for 4. 2 wickets for James and 2 good run outs, the fielding in this young team is improving week by week.

So after reminding the team that with some solid batting we would win this game, the boys set about winning it. Bertie and Samuel were solid and never looked like getting out and a couple of boundaries from Samuel helped the total to 226 after 4 overs. Then Jonathan and Jacob came in and took the total onto 251 for 1 at the half way stage, Jonathan scoring his first boundary today was a lovely moment.
Rowledge were already thinking a defeat was on the cards and Zak left them in no doubt with a lovely innings of 24, inc 4 boundaries, Jayden played a lovely supporting role to take the score to 279 for 2 after 12.
Josh and James then sealed the victory taking the total to 294 for 3.

An Excellent win, I haven't taken a game with these boys for a few weeks and the improvement in there ability and game awareness was clear to see. one match left next week at Hartley Wintney
