Match report Another tough week, athough I thought there was a slight improvement in performance.
Won the toss (again! - it's starting to become a habit!), so I thought we'd bat first. It was a warm day and I was hoping it would get warmer.
Anthony was back in the side so I thought I'd pair him with Asim to see how they fare - and at 26 off 7, I was starting to think it may have worked when Anthony was castled for 15.
Asim however continued and was particularly adept off his legs - but wickets started to fall at the other end with the "big guns" failing to fire this week. Asim then fell for 30 to a guy who had bowled NINE wides in his first over!! I think we were all surprised, Asim more than most. We needed to rebuild and Duncan and Ryan did that to a degree but the slide continued, culminating in me running myself out to a direct hit from what I thought was a deep enough mid-on! 118 looked at least 30-40 short!
Still, we had a go and while we didn't grab many wickets, we didn't bowl or field that bad, to the point that although the inevitable occurred, it took them 32 overs to do it!

A word for Ryan who was excellent - 10 off his first 2 to end up with 2 for 21 off his allotted 10. He provided the control from one end that allowed us to try a few things from the other. It just didn't quite work out! We keep going, Slough 6 next week, bring 'em on!
