Yateley Cricket Club Won by 43 runs

Match report Won the toss (they called heads so I'm not wrong all the time!) - batted first, obvious choice on that pitch and in those conditions!
John & Anthony got us off to a flier but the real substance to our innings was provided by a 96-run 3rd wkt stand between Scott & Simon.
Scott provided a cultured display as you would expect, Simon on the other hand was a little more aggressive with a "that's just got to go" attitude - and kudos to him too as he reached his maden 50.
Upkar in at 6 then took up the challenge by dismantling their bowling with some ferocious hitting, sometimes with gloves, sometimes without.
244 looked more than enough but you just couldn't be sure what they had in the shed - and boy! they gave it a go!
In the early stages, the game was definitely in the balance as one by one, they came at us.
But the game was really won in the middle overs when Scott and Ryan turned the screw and shared 6 wkts.
I have to admit though, my brain was scrambled for a bit as the hitters hit and offers of advice were coming at me from all angles - but we deservedly got there in the end!
All in all a good team performance and win!
My thanks to M&B for a competitive fixture and of course to Rachel for the usual exceptional fare at the tea interval.
