Match report Tails never fails? - who ever said that? - was gonna bat first anyway!
And off to a really positive start when John and Anthony got us up to 45 from 15 when "tragedy" struck - John was run out!
That didn't seem to set us back that much though because Upkar looked very dangerous at #4, hitting to all parts - until he found deep square leg lurking in the trees!
He said he didn't see him. The fielder barely had to move.
We then stumbled to 101 for 7 before a mini-recovery, lead superbly by our U13 keeper, William Forster, who top scored with 32, restored respectability.
We did have a decent start in the field too as both openers were dispatched for ducks, both to excellent catches by the McGowan "twins", John and Joe.
But their batting looked well above this level and their 3 and 5 steered them to what was in the end a comfortable 7 wkt victory!
But the performance this week showed a marked improvement on the last.
