Yateley Cricket Club Lost by 5 wickets

Match report Yateley won the Toss and elected to Bat.Our opening bats soon settled in on a somewhat tricky wicket. Yateley batted well against some fast short pitched bowling. Caty Salter (8), Sasha Neilson (14) and Rosalyn Chambers (9) all retired after their 8 overs at the crease. We finished on 94 after leaving possibly 20 runs on the field as we seemed nervous to take the fielders on.

After a quick change Yateley took to the field. All the parents and coaches noticed a dramatic improvement in the fielding this week with a far more positive vibe coming from the girls. All the girls bowled well with very few wides being given away. Special mention of Rosalyn Chambers who bowled 4 overs 2 wickets for 15 runs,

Also a big thank you to Maria Griffiths and Nayani Davies Patel who were asked to step up from Under 13's and certainly did themselves proud, their fielding efforts were remarkable and its great to see some of the depth of talent we have at Yateley.
