Match report Won toss - and fielded .......which on reflection, on a long hot day, was probably not the best decision!
Wokingham are a strong club and their 5s illustrate that with a strong batting line-up. While they never really got away from us, they kept us at arm's length to amass a very competitive 235 for 5. Maybe we were a bowler light as we tried to fill the 4th bowler spot. Ollie Watts stood up though on debut with a creditable spell, capped by an excellent caught and bowled, one handed to his left.
We had thoughts of a chase after tea with a fast outfield but these thoughts dissipated rapidly at 21 for 6 after our "big guns" failed to come off. It was left to Joel to lead us to partial respectability with a resolute and entertaining 30, before being trapped in front.
Lost by 153 runs!!
