Match report Won the toss - and batted!
The weather forecast later on was unfavourable so preferred to reward ourselves with batting practice rather than have the run-around in the field - and it proved to be quite a challenge. We scrapped and scraped our way to 100 all out with a few minor contributions all the way down. We then trooped off for another lovely tea from Liz Denston.
During the interval, the Windsor skipper was overheard reporting back to base with "it's not as low a score as it sounds!" so clearly the seeds of doubt had been sown. Would it have been enough? - it didn't feel like it - but we will never know, as the steady rain that started towards the end of our innings continued and grew heavier during tea!
The captains shook hands soon after - 7 pts apiece!
