Match report On a beautiful sunny morning the U10s took the field for the last league match with birthday girl Niamh as captain. Yateley batted first and the hard work on running between the wickets was in evidence as we made steady progress to finish on 265 from the 16 overs, Millie top scoring with 10. After some well deserved refreshments it was time to bowl tightly and put Rowledge under pressure. After at great first 4 overs including a wicket for Aryana, Rowledge were behind the run rate. Four more lovely overs and at the halfway point they were still just behind Yateleys total after 8 overs. A wicket from Anna and some more good bowling meant that after 12 overs the game was still in the balance. the last Rowledge pair however batted superbly, hitting 11 boundaries and not even another wicket from Anna was enough, with 53 from the last pairing taking Rowledge to victory.
We can take some great positives from the match, if it wasn't for the Rowledge player that scored 44*, it would have been a very close finish. Great bowling and excellent running between the wickets.
Very proud of the U10 Girls this year!!!!!!
