Match report Yateley comfortably romped to victory in the Final of the National Westminster Aylward Cup final when they beat Hartley Wintney by 7 wickets with 32 balls to spare, The hero was Ugandan star Jon Sebanja who hit 6 sixes in his 46 ball innings of 72 not out. Set 137 to win Sebanja made light work of the task in hand as took command of the situation as Yateley won the Aylward Cup for the first time in their history. Jon Dow got Yateley off to the perfect start scoring 25 before being narrowly run out, Simon SSesazi 23 and Charlie Harris 10 also gave great support but Sebanja was the star.

Hartley Wintney won the toss and made the perfect start scoring 22 off the first over but Sebanje and Jacques Pienaar turned things back Yateley's way as the home side were tottering on 37 for 4. Hersh 25 and Baldwin 25 started to build a stand but Tom Halson introduction to the attack removed Hersh and he also ran out Ross with a direct hit. Sebanja finished with 3 for 21 and Jacques Pienaar 2 for 25 as Hartley finished on 136 for 8 which never looked enough.

This victory was sweet for Yateley as they narrowly lost the final last year when they finished with scores level against Basingstoke but lost on the number of wickets lost. They have now won the Guy Jewell Cup twice, The Three Counties League Presidents Cup and now the Aylward Cup in recent years.
