Match report Hartley Wintney won the toss and asked Yateley to bat.

Josie and Rosalyn started well and took Yateley to 36 after the first four over when they retired. Yateley then lost three quick wickets as Sasha, Eve and Nayani played early to some particularly slow bowling. Megan and Shannon came to the crease and steadied the ship before retiring. Josie came back to add another quickfire 9 to her score before falling to a great catch in the covers. Megan and Rosalyn played some attacking stokes at the end to see Yateley close on 105 for 4 in a game reduced to 15 overs per side.

Yateley took to the field in their usual energetic manner and Josie soon had the visitors on the racks, bowling both District batsmen around the legs in the first and third overs. All the girls bowled well with Sasha, Megan and Shannon taking turns to knock over the woodwork. The fielding was again at it's usual high standard with Josie and Eve taking two great run outs.

Hartley Wintney's innings was brought to an end in the 14th over with their score on 72 giving Yateley the win by 33 Runs.

It was extremely difficult to choose a Man of the match as the whole team put in a stellar performance, but, for her two wickets for 12 runs, a great run out and for scoring 19 runs, my Man of the Match is Josie Marshall.

Well done to the whole team for the tremendous Yateley Spirit you showed. The energy in the field on a very hot summers evening was brilliant.
