Match report The Under 12 girls put in another finely polished performance beating Basingstoke by 42 runs. Sasha won the toss and decided to bat.

Our two openers, Josie and Rosalyn, set a fantastic base with some very mature batting and brilliant running between the wickets. The scoreboard kept ticking with all the girls working hard with the bat to make a contribution. Josie later returned to the crease to really take the attack to the Basingstoke bowlers finishing the innings on 43 Not Out.

The girls then took to the field and Josie opened the bowling sending the 2 Basingstoke openers back to the pavilion in the first over. The spirit amongst the girls was fantastic and the quality of the fielding was top of class. Nayani again showed the Opposition why they should not take her on in the deep covers with another unbelievable direct hit run out.

Josie came back for a second spell and picked up another two wickets. Sasha then wrapped up the tail in the 17th over with an excellent caught and bowled wicket.

Man of the Match for this game is Josie who batted with maturity for her 43 not out and then for bowling a superb line and length to finish with bowling figures of 4 for 14 off her 3 overs.
