Yateley Cricket Club Won by 13 runs

Match report Sasha won the Toss and elected to bat first. We lost a total of 5 wickets during our innings two of which were run outs. Runs were hard to come by on a wet, sticky wicket but Rosalyn and Josie returned to the crease after the 16th over and accelerated the scoring to give Yateley a total of 98 to defend.

Odiham started off strongly but soon lost their way with three wickets falling in the 3rd over, including a very smart run out by Josie Marshall. The girls worked together as a true team in the field and the encouragement they all gave each other was brilliant. At the end of the 18th over the scores were 85-5 Yateley, 85-6 Odiham. Bring on Josie Marshall and Sasha Neilson to bowl the last 2 overs. Both delivered maiden overs (Josie a Wicket Maiden) giving Yateley the win by 13 Runs.

Man of the Match today goes to two players for their all round contributions. Josie Marshall (Batting 10 Not Out, Bowling 1-10 and a great Run Out) and Rosalyn Chambers (Batting 15 Not Out , Bowling 1-9 - including the wicket of a very good district bat. But also accelerating our score in the 19th over hitting 10 off 4 balls).
