Match report Another home game another lost toss saw YCC put in to bat on what looked like a road and proved to be so as John Garrett and Mohammed Usman (on debut) rode some luck to blast an opening partnership of 134. A series of cameos from Jim Henstock, Gaurav Bhadari and Anthony McGowan followed until Wes Day supported by Duncan McGregor put on 49 for the 7th wicket and YCC declared on 258-8 from 43.
Robin Smith struck early and then Wes Day getting the new ball to move in the air ripped apart the Wargrave top order and after Robin took his second with the final ball of his spell drinks were taken with the visitors in trouble at 80-6. Wes took his 5th straight after the interval and then a 6th and Angad finished off after Usman pouched one for the last wicket.
A great win for the 10 men who worked hard and showed a great spirit.
