Match report Another lost toss but this time we were ask to field. Wickets fell at regular intervals - debutant Krish and Chrag taking 6 between them and the visitors were 102-7. Sadly they got off the hook and batted out the 47 overs for 229, well above par.
Yateley got off to a poor start subsiding to 58-5, but Will Banham showing good technique and a calm disposition showed that batting was possible on the pitch once set. Partnerships with Owen Evans and his brother Ollie kept the score ticking over and then he was joined by the injured Mike Brown and put on 73 valuable runs. Sadly Will fell one short of his century not quite finding the boundary of the last two deliveries he needed. This was a magnificent innings however and he deserves a lot of praise. The opposition were very sporting in their praise for the innings too much to their credit having been denied what looked like a certain victory.
