Match report Things looked bleak for Yateley with regulars Harry Bartlett, Dan Bone and skipper Stuart Lipo unavailable and Jimmy Halson withdrawing injured late in the week, for the game against table topping Stoke Green. However a sterling performance in the field saw stand in skipper Ants Muir take 2 wickets and Jon Sebanja 1 as Stoke Green were reduced to 16-3. Fahad Masood looked like staging a recovery scoring 37 before the introduction of Jacques Pienaar swung things back Yateley's way. Jacques took 3 for 21 and Jon Sebanja 3 for 20 at Stoke Green were reduced to 79 for 9. Skipper Muir returned to the fray to have Aziz caught and bowled and the league leaders all out for 84, returning 3 for 20.

Yateley made a slow start against Stoke's spin twins of Butt and Aziz. However it was the introduction of seamer Masood that brought the first wicket on 11 bowling Jason Soames. Dan Vincent and Jon Dow took the score to 32 before Dow holed out for 21 to Butt. Jacques Pienaar joined Dan Vincent and promptly scored 34 before also falling to Butt with the score on 80. Yateley faltered but crept over the line when Sebanja hit Butt for 4 to win the game by 4 wickets.

This was a good team performance against a team 35 points clear at the top of the table prior to this game and poses welcome selection questions for the week ahead when Yateley travel to local rivals Cove.
