Yateley Cricket Club Lost but superb fielding display!

Match report An exciting game chased hard by our young team which only got away from them in the final couple of overs.
Lots of bat on ball and great defending of some on-target deliveries by our plucky, fearless crew who also took on Basingstoke's U9 lad with courage! More work to be done on calling and running but eyes were firmly on the ball today.
Refreshed, determined and armed with the challenge of beating the Ladies run out record, the girls headed out to give an smashing display of 'How to run out a batter' with several girls taking a turn. 4 runouts in 5 overs put Basingstoke under pressure and their final pair needed to work hard to secure the win.
A great atmosphere today with everyone remembering to back each other up in the field. A big thanks to Nayani who stepped in at the last minute. Thanks again to all the parents and grandparents today - wonderful support as always for your delightful and team spirited girls.
