Match report Today the tone was set by our fun and engaging warm up which had everyone buzzing! Thanks Fiona - where do you get your ideas?? After winning the toss again The Ladies started to build a solid foundation against Ropley's accurate bowling. As wickets began to fall Rachel decided to play her natural game, keep calm and stay in. At the other end the young lasses (and Michelle) played a superb series of cameos as Molly, Megan and Amelia took on the bowling. Freya and Anita had a superb partnership together, keeping Ropley on their toes to the end with Laura running quick singles at the close to polish off the innings. We knew we'd have to keep it tight in the field... was it enough runs on the board?
Ater a super tea we took to the field in fine voice - never before has so much banter been heard on the pitch! Tight bowling from AJ at the start backed up in the field by all including the plucky Zoe, meant runs were tough to come by. Slowly Ropley's wickets began to fall and line and length paid dividends for the girls. The 10th wicket fell in the 25th over giving Megan her first fifer and a much deserved victory for all. A good team spirit today unhampered by the rain!
