Match report Early rain and more heavy rain forecast later... Yateley Ladies turned up at Old Alresford's ground (kindly lent for the match) with trepidation. Would the game get played? Would the threatening rain hold off long enough for a result? More importantly...how would we manage the long afternoon when we learned there were no tea bags?

Still, Alanna won the toss...again! Tichbourne were put into bat at 2pm with a light drizzle accompaniment and within a couple of overs were 2 wickets down. Line and length bowling with superb support from fielders meant runs were scarce. Stumps were scattered, catches were held, tight fielding meant under pressure, batters took unwise chances. By 3pm Yateley were padding up to go into bat chasing 49.

An eventful first over with a brief rain interlude got YCC off to a flying start. The loss of Alanna brought Michelle to the wicket who decided she REALLY wanted a cup of tea so in a partnership with Debbie they knocked off the runs in a further 5.3 overs. Great win on a dodgy day weather wise.
