Match report Lost toss - put in! After a sticky start, it was Chandu who gave the innings impetus, carrying on from last week with a breezy 39, including 18 off one over from their best bowler. Ayush continued to show a level of maturity that belies his age as he dropped anchor with a resolute 31, allowing the lower order, the likes of Kier (17), myself (34) and Izzy (10no) to swash-buckle our way to 156 - a competitive total we thought.
And so it proved, although not immediately. 30-0 off 9 was then transformed as Kier came on to wobble the ball and claim 3 for 21 off 9, much to the bamboozlement of Cove's batsmen. Ably supported by his fellow bowlers, each of whom took wkts, Ayush (2), Izzy, Jonny and Chandu (one each). Cove fell short on 130-8. We just couldn't weedle out the last two. A strong performance against an experienced side.
