Match report If our two defeats to Kew have made our promotion hopes fairly slim, then
Chesham must be saying the same of us as we completed the double over the
Buckinghamshire title chasers who came down from the HCPL last season.

Opting to bat first on a wet track, Chesham were doomed from the start as the conditions perfectly suited our seam attack. After Harry and Ant had accounted for the openers, skipper Stu cashed in with a remarkable 4 wicket haul in the space of six overs leaving Chesham at 57 for 6. With the ball continuing to seam, Andy Goddard (25) and Dan Babula (30) staged a minor recovery but a great display of catching in support of the bowlers, with a particularly spectacular catch by Sam Kennett, saw Chesham reduced to a meagre 106 all out in 49 overs with Stu finishing on a season's best 5 for 17 off 13 overs with Harry and Seb taking two
apiece.

With the ball still moving around Yateley started cautiously as James Muir and Ryan Bone set about playing Chesham out of the game with a solid 30 opening partnership. With both well caught in quick succession, Seb and Ollie put on a viatl 60 runs both playing positively to ensure Chesham wouldn’t be able to gain any foothold in the game. Although Seb was caught just before the end for 31. Soamsey took the side home with an assured 32 not out to give us a 7 wicker win in just 25 overs – a measure of our superiority in the game.
