Match report At Last some sunshine and my first Home game in charge. This was always going to be a tough game as they had at least 3 county players and I had all my county and some district players missing due to school trips.

We lost the toss and were put in to field first. Callum Doran once again skippered the side and we started off very well in the field, and there was good encouragement in the field. Our backing up was not so great and neither was our walking in with the bowler, which if done properly could have got us some more wickets, but all in all we did ok, and they went off after 20 overs leaving us 108 to chase down.

With the pace and accuracy of the bowlers we had, some of the batsmen seemed very weary and it was more a case of not getting hurt rather than getting runs. Also running between the wickets was not the greatest, but we had some of the more experienced batsmen come out and be positive and a special mention goes out to Ollie Banham who batted really well.

We got to the last over needing 30 runs, and that task was left to Ed Sargent, who eventually settled down and started hitting the ball with purpose, but unfortunately no runs were added and we lost comprehensively.
