Match report erm.. Lost Toss again!! (Statistically Impossible I hear you say!?)

Opposition decided to bat on a lively pitch (hmm.. 10 other players happy I lost the toss then!!), despite some interesting deliveries Royal Ascot clung to the cliff face like barnacles on the Mary Rose, eventually posting a credible 157 for 8 off their 47 overs (J Soames 2, U Shishodia 2, A Davies 2, E Mitchell 1, L Doran 1). Haig should have had a wicket but Harry in true S Gerrard style evaded the leg slip fielder with a back header on a edge behind.

After another great tea from Liz Hendries followed (particularly enjoyed the fruit bowl), Rock & Pebble set about building the Yateley dam. Unfortunately the hand of God intervened & Peeble was swept away on 21. Fresh from his 40 last week Pete Mitchell strode to the wicket ... and then back again! Rock & P Freeman then set about establishing some order, and several days .. erm some time later having pushed Yateley close to their target, god gave Rock (55) his marching orders (much to Rock's disbelief!). With some good running between the wicket P Freeman (34), L Doran (17*), U Shishodia (9) saw Yateley to the brink of victory, when in strides young Harry who promptly dispatched his 1st delivery for 4 to win the game. Well done & lets try and finish the season unbeaten.

M.O.M G Soames, no scratch that P Mitchell for celebrating a golden duck in grand style (cheers Pete!!)
