Match report Sunny, cloudy, rain. Yateley 1s hosted Wokingham 1s and it was Wokingham that won the toss and elected to bowl on a hard pitch, thanks to our great groundsmen. After losing Tom Wood early on, Manu and John steady the ship before John came victim of the fast short ball (that skittled his middle stump). Ryan joined Manu and together they accumulated the runs before Ryan decided to take the attack to the bowlers in making a well crafted 63. Unfortunately, the rain did not hold off and after an early tea, the umpires decided the ground was unfit to play on and the match was abandoned (which was a great call, as within 5 minutes of Wokingham leaving the heavens opened up). Thanks to Liz Halson for scoring and Alison Bone for the teas.
