Yateley Cricket Club Won 2/4 matches...semi finalists!

Match report A day of excitement, fun, sun, showers, giggles, cartwheels (yes, I have photographic evidence!) and most of all tremendous cricket from our Yateley Girls.

The girls won 2 out of 3 games against Petersfield - a convincing win earning us a bonus point for scoring over 250 runs and Basingstoke – by 1 run! We lost to Fair Oaks but we’d won a coveted place in the semi -final against Lymington. Lymington’s excellent running between the wickets got them off to a flying start and we couldn’t make up the ground. However, we went home as proud semi-finalists!

As individuals the girls were stars but as a team they shone. Paul and I were so proud of them as they represented the club captained by a confident Suré.

Many thanks to all the parents who brought their girls and supported them...and made sure they wore those red caps! I was right girls - the team who looks smart really does play smartly; you proved it today!
