Yateley Cricket Club Won by 3 wickets gaining 20 points.

Match report Although I had been to Cody Sports before I somehow got lost along with Mike Brown, turned up at 12.05, thankfully all the rest were there apart from Dave Woods who had problems like me and got there at 12.45.

I won the toss but the wicket looked awful, bare patches, stud marks etc, didn't want to bat so put them in. First ball from Anthony McGowan smashed back over his head for 4, oh no I thought here we go. We tended to bowl one bad ball per over which went for 4, Joe McGowan had an excellent spell and the epitome of tightness, 7 overs for 17 runs, 0 wickets but had one dropped at slip. Very good catch by John McGowan had them at 60 - 1 from 14 overs, one of their main danger men gone, phew. Bought Sam Kennett and Kaustubh Vaidya on, Kaustubh is seriously quick and was a menace on that wicket, further very good catches from Joe McGowan and Dave Woods and a c & b by Kaustubh saw them at 85 - 6 then a bit of a revival saw them 110 - 7, then 134 - 9 and 134 - 10 two wickets in two balls from Sam Kennett, didn't get the hat-trick. A good bit of work between Paul Banham and Harry Maxfield for a run out saw them all out for 143 from 37 overs. Sam Kennett finished on 12 - 3 - 47 - 4 and Kaustubh 11 - 3 - 30 - 4.

Opening with me and Dave Woods saw us at 12 - 1 from 8 overs, 23 - 2 from 16. Good innings from Paul Banham (20), Sam Kennett (21), Kaustubh Vaidya (11) saw us to 82 - 5, we then lost two wickets in two balls at 118 - 8, 118 - 9 before Joe McGowan, he had a very good game, unbeaten on 23 and Cameron Hughes 16 not out saw us home with 13 overs to spare.
