Yateley Cricket Club Won by 6 runs

Match report It stayed dry and the team played as a team of 11 and just held on for a victory by 6 runs.

Well done to David Styles for holding his nerve bowling the last over (3 overs, 1 for 16 was a great performance after electing to bat down the order and bowl more - good call David you made a great contribution today - in the field too). Helping David get his wicket was Max with a sharp catch well taken. Very well done and a vital contribution with the bat at then end (1 off 1), which brought James back onto strike for that fantastic 6 off the last ball (not out 13).

Connor (who scored 6 off just 6 legitimate balls) had a great direct hit to run out one of the Aldershot batsmen who had scored 7 off just 3 balls; always reliable in the field, well done. We achieved another run out from what was today a very good fielding (we can forgive ourselves the overthrows after we held on to claim 2 wins from 2 matches); well done boys.

Batting from Michael was very good, 31 runs off 26 balls, also Ragan opened well with 15 and partnered by Kamryn and Alex who both scored some vital runs having not batted in our first match (parents, please note I am trying to give everyone a chance, so endeavour to get a balance for everyone - I am but human, so apologies when I get the balance wrong in 1 match, I will try to rebalance next time).

In future I will nominate parents to help with drinks, thank you to Gerhard and Kirsty for assisting, but I will the accept advice received to nominate in future rather than rely on the same good people helping.

The 21st June fixture is being rearranged as there were only 6 players available due to clashes and players' other commitments.
