Match report Well, we scored 63 with the bat to Overton A's 43 with the bat, but the match was lost on EXTRAs...

The boys caught well in the field; however, the wides and no balls cost us a victory - 94 in total, which is probably a record we would like to soon forget, just like the 5 runs (yes 5) that Overton ran on the last ball of their innings as we appeared to forget all we have drilled about backing up the keeper & bowler and keeping the ball in hand.

The run chase in the last 5 overs saw some great calling and running, Alexander, Jamie, Nick and Patrick ran well and stole singles all over the place, which if we had done this throughout we could have still caught Overton.

There was some really good fielding at times, most noticeably Jamie and Alex and Alexander's catch was first class. However, some long barriers were missing and the bowling certainly needs significant improvement. Plenty to focus on in training, but another match Thursday means we need to focus on the basics both bowling & in the field to stand a chance of getting back to winning ways.
