Match report FIRST EVER MATCH ON THE NEW GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendly against our Pretty in Pink but very competitive rivals. Promising to keep their tops on whatever the result, the PL put us into bat. The low bounce at the "where to trash your Corsa end" foxed our first 5 batsmen, with Kathryn (an U13) the only one to reach double figures. Brave Laurina got a couple of runs with her runner, before Emma & Ellen saw out the overs with some dodgy running.

Despite the PL umpire constantly worrying about the light (would we get all the overs in before the light went? Hurry up hurry up!) and the shadows the trees were making on the pitch (is this guy for real?!!) we managed a quick drinks break before going out to field.
Having seen the pitch, we capitalised on the bounce and and in the overs bowled from the "pylon end" gave away just 14 runs but took 7 wickets.

The win was timed to perfection, but our visitors weren't happy. Probably just as well they didn't stay for our cobbled together tea!
