Cove are a very strong side and had already beaten us this season. We lost the toss and were put into bat first. We opened the batting with Jess and Rachel which didn’t go well as Rachel got out after facing 5 balls. The next batsmen in was Kathryn who got out without scoring. The next batter in was AJ who built a strong partnership with Jess. Unfortunately Jess got out to a ball that cut back across her. Next in was Heather who also got out without scoring as she played across the line to a straight ball. In the final over Addie got out which brought Emma C to the crease who was told by AJ to run no matter what. Unfortunately Emma C got run out. Our final batter in was Beth who didn’t face a ball. AJ and Beth were happy at the end of the innings because they didn’t get out and AJ got her highest score of the season. Our final score was 90.

Cove opened the batting with 2 very strong players who hit the Yateley bowling all over the place. After 10 over’s cove had reached our score with one of their batsmen getting retired. This was a poor bowling performance by Yateley and something we need to work on before our next game.
