Eversley had already beaten us this season, but we weren’t going to let it happen again. We lost the toss and were put into field first. We opened the bowling with AJ and Alice who bowled well and not giving many runs or extras away. Heather, Rachel, Emma C and Kayleigh also bowled and all did a great job in the field. We also had Kerry Taylor playing for us who wasn’t sure about playing hard ball but bowled really well and was unlucky not to get a wicket. As we didn’t have a wicket keeper available for this match we had to use Kathryn at the start of the innings who did a great job and AJ did the last 6 over’s so the Kathryn could bowl. The effort form all of the girls in the field was great and Eversley had a total of 83-4.

After a short break in which we got ice lollies from Alice’s mum we had to go out and bat. We opened the batting with Kayleigh and AJ who got us off to a great start. Unfortunately this only lasted for a few over’s before Kayleigh got bowled to a straight ball. This brought Alice to the crease who took the singles and hit the bad balls away for 4. The next batter to fall was AJ who also got bowled to a ball that she came down the track too. The new batsmen in was Kathryn who hit the bad balls and took the singles. The final runs were scored when the girls run when the Eversley wicket keeper missed the ball, meaning that YATELEY U 16 GIRLS won by 6 wickets and with 4 over’s to spare.

Well done to all the girls who played it was a great performance and a well deserved win.
