Match report A really closely fought match, which saw Yateley bat first and put on 86 (only 35 of these came from the bat though, of which 25 came from Andre, Nick & Callum, with 9, 8 & 8 respectively), which means the other batsmen only put on 10 runs with the bat. The total should have been 100+ with some sharper running & a few more positive shots into spaces (there are still far too many dot balls, but we are working on this area of the game).

Our bowlers did a great job, with all 10 fielders bowling at least one over and some great individual performances, reducing extras down to a quarter of those given in the first match of the season, so well done. Individual highlights were continued good bowling from Nick, Max & Connor. Also it was great to see James bowling confidently tonight & Callum too, both contributing in the latter overs, including James bowling when Old Basing needed just 2 for the win & only going for 1 run in the over.

The stats are on the web site soon, so please read them and as you will guess, Friday's training is going to focus on positive batting, running and a little fielding practice at the same time. Tom made 2 great contributions in the field, with 1 catch and a run-out, so well done Tom. Jamie also had a caught and bowled on his bowling, well done to him on this achievement.
